Is the treatment covered by health insurance?

Please note that we offer direct billing to most extended health care plans. Extended health care plans cover Laser therapy as part of the normal scope of practice of Chiropractors and Physiotherapists. MSP of BC provides some limited coverage to those on premium assistance. How much does a treatment cost?

Fees are based on the length of time of the treatment:
$55.00 – 30 minute treatment.
$110.00 – 60 minute treatment.

How long does a treatment take?

Depending on the condition being treated, treatments are typically 15 minutes to one hour in duration.


Are there any contraindications?

Yes, women in their first trimester of pregnancy and patients on photoactive medication should avoid Laser Therapy.

Are there any side effects?

Unlike most pharmaceutical solutions and other therapeutic options, Laser Therapy is non-toxic, non-invasive and in over one million individual treatments, no significant adverse effects have been noted.

How does Laser Therapy work?

The laser supplies light energy to the cells. Cells use this energy to repair damaged tissues. When placed in contact with the skin the laser enhances the body’s natural healing process. Laser therapy is a non-toxic, non-invasive pain free treatment with no side effects. It is beneficial to injured tissues, promotes repair, decreases swelling/inflammation, decreases pain, promotes angiogenesis and repair of collagen and cartilage.
